Ingredients

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • vanilla ice cream (optional)

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine self-rising flour, one cup of the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add milk and whisk together until blended and smooth. Whisk in melted butter.
  • In a lightly greased 8-inch square baking dish, transfer batter. Evenly distribute the blueberries and raspberries on top of batter and sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 cup sugar.
  • Bake in a 350 F oven for about 50 minutes to 1 hour or until golden and bubbly. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
