Howell’s Bread
Howell's Bread (also known as Josephina's bread) is loaded with mayo, diced green chiles, and cheese. With loads of cheesy goodness and a kick of spice, this cheesy bread is seriously addicting!

- 1 loaf sourdough or French bread
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 4.5 ounces diced green chilies
- 1 cup cheddar jack cheese, shredded
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
Split the bread loaf in half lengthwise.
In a bowl, combine butter and garlic powder. Spread mixture on the cut side of each half of bread loaf.
In another bowl, combine mayonnaise and diced chilies. Spread mixture over the butter mixture.
Sprinkle cheese and paprika.
Bake in a 400 F oven until lightly browned and bubbly.
Garnish with green onions and slice into serving pieces.
