Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pulp-free orange juice
  • 1 cup butter, room temperature

Instructions

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, reduce orange juice to 1/4 cup.
  • Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  • In a blender or food processor, blend orange juice with butter until smooth. Chill mixture before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure the plain butter is first softened at room temperature for a smooth and creamy texture.
  • Reducing the orange juice in a saucepan over heat is important as it helps concentrate flavor.
  • Chill the freshly made orange butter for at least an hour before serving to firm up and help flavors to meld together.
