I was flipping through an issue of Food Network magazine when their “50 milkshakes” insert fell to the floor and caught my attention. Call it serendipity but when I picked up the 4-sheet pamphlet, my thumbs were right on the page of this olive oil milkshake!

Olive oil and sea salt in milkshakes? I was duly intrigued to give it a try but was ready to be disappointed. I mean, olive oil in milkshakes?

Surprise, surprise! I. Loved. It. The addition of olive oil added to the creaminess of the vanilla ice cream and the sprinkling of sea salt rounded up the flavors deliciously. And the fact that the milkshake is high in healthy fats and calories for post-workout or anytime energy boost was a double win!
