Peanut Caramel Chews

Although I usually wake up too late for breakfast and skip this meal most days, I always stock boxes of frosted flakes in our pantry. I like to keep the cereal on hand not to go into a bowl of cold milk but into making the peanut caramel chews!

If you haven’t tried these cereal bars, you need to make them ASAP. You won’t be able to get enough of their chewy and gooey texture and sweet and salty flavor combo; they’re seriously addicting!

Chewy, gooey peanut caramel chews are sure to be your new favorite snack!

These peanut cereal bars are not only delicious, they’re super easy to make and no-bake which is perfect for warmer weather when the last thing we want is sweating it out in the kitchen with the oven on.

The recipe is so simple, the hardest part is waiting for the bars to cool and set! Check out the 1-2-3-4-5 steps below.

No-bake peanut caramel squares are a fantastic sweet and salty treat. Gooey, chewy and loaded with peanuts and cornflakes, they're seriously addicting!

How to Make Peanut Caramel Chews

  1. Butter bottom and sides of a 9×13 baking dish. If you want the squares thicker, use an 8×8 square pan.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, combine caramels and milk. Cook, stirring regularly until melted.
  3. In a bowl, combine frosted flakes and peanuts. Stir in the caramel mixture until the dry ingredients are fully coated. Not a fan of frosted flakes? Swap with Rice Krispies or Chex cereal.
  4. Transfer to the prepared baking dish and use a buttered spoon or spatula to press down mixture (it’s very sticky so make sure you grease the spoon!)
  5. Refrigerate to cool and set. Let stand at room temperature for about 10 minutes for easier cutting.

Peanut Cereal Caramel Square with an addicting combo of sweet and salty flavors! Chewy and gooey, these caramel squares are the perfect snack and make great gifts, too!

The recipe can be easily doubled (or tripled!) s0 make a big batch! These peanut caramel bars are great for an anytime pick-me-up snack but also perfect for potlucks or holiday gift-giving.
